Harry Haynes

In January of 1994 Harry Haynes began his law enforcement career with the Houston Police Department, where he served faithfully for four years.

In July of 1998, Harry was given the unique opportunity to serve with the Dallas Police Department.  He started his career serving as a patrol officer and was quickly promoted to Senior Corporal.  After his promotion, Harry was transferred to one of the cities toughest areas where he developed a knack for arresting violent criminals and drug dealers.

In 2006 Harry was selected as a Detective to join a street-level narcotic team.  For the next two years, Harry and his team would primarily investigate low level drug dealers and conduct dynamic entry search warrants at “Trap and Stash Houses.”  In an effort to reinvent himself and to gain more experience investigating long term cases, Harry applied for and was accepted to the Vice Division.  His primary duties were investigating and arresting prostitutes, pimps, and criminals responsible for human traffickers.

In 2008 Harry was presented with yet another opportunity to stretch and grow his undercover career by being selected to the Dallas Police Department’s elite Mid-Level Narcotic Team.

In 2009, while working in an undercover capacity, Harry and his partners were able to infiltrate a violent drug trafficking organization, posing as large-scale drug traffickers.  During our "initiation stage", we were targets of the violence perpetrated by the gang members.  Firearms were repeatedly utilized and brandished by the gang members during undercover transactions, in an effort to intimidate Harry and his team.  On each occasion, they utilized superior tactics and techniques to safely walk away from the dangerous situations we encountered.  As a result of the 2-year undercover operation, 28 violent gang members were removed from the community they preyed upon.

In 2012 Harry Haynes was promoted to Sergeant and transferred back to patrol where he served for 2 years as a Patrol Sergeant, but his desire to pursue drug dealers drew him back to the Narcotics Division.

In 2014, Harry supervised a group of proactive uniformed officers responsible for conducting knock and talk operations and drug enforcement operations on a daily basis.  His team of officers were highly effective at gaining consent to search residences, arresting criminal, and seizing thousands of dollars of illegal narcotics.

Harry now supervises an aggressive street-level undercover unit and has planned and executed 100’s of successful Dynamic Entry Narcotic Search Warrants in some of the most violent locations in the City of Dallas.  Based on his successful tactics, Harry has become one of the go to supervisors when a new drug problem arises in the city.

In March of 1990, Harry joined the United States Military where he served with the 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, NC.  Harry is a Veteran of the First War in Iraq.

Harry has been an instructor for Professional Law Enforcement Training for the past six years, and has presented courses across the United States with exceptional reviews.
