Brian Doyle began his law enforcement career in Chicago, Illinois, with the Chicago Police Department in 2002. He graduated at the top of his class from the academy as the Class Commander as well as Top Shot. Brian’s first assignment after the academy was the 011th District (Harrison), where he worked Patrol. He was quickly recruited to a Tactical Team where he flourished until he moved over to the Terrorism Awareness and Response Academy as an instructor.

In 2008 Brian was selected as a member of the Chicago Police Department SWAT Team. There he continued his eagerness to learn, excel and push himself. He became a Primary Assaulter, Shield/Point Man, Alternate Breacher, Vehicle Assault/Hostage Rescue specialist as well as Less Lethal Weapon Systems. Brian planned, prepared and participated in hundreds of High Risk Search Warrants, Barricaded Subjects, Hostage Rescue, Presidential Security details augmenting the Secret Service, as well as attended advanced classes in a variety of fields related to SWAT.

In 2015, Brian went back to Patrol for a short stint in the 016th District (Jefferson Park), where he worked a Beat Car and eventually the Tactical Team. Brian was tasked with training his fellow Officers on Officer Safety, Active Shooter, Officer Rescue and basic tactics. The District Commander asked Brian to run a large-scale Active Shooter drill at a local hospital, which was greatly received by the hospital staff and participating CPD Officers.

Brian finished out his career back at the Academy as an Instructor teaching Force Mitigation and Use of Force, until he finally moved to the Tactical Training Unit. Again, he was tasked with updating the program and developing new and improved scenarios for recruit and in-service training.

Brian is a graduate of St. Xavier University/Graham School of Business, where he received his MBA in Financial Fraud. He also attended Waseda University in Tokyo as a Monbushou scholarship recipient.
