Doug Ericsson
started his law enforcement career in Idaho in 1992. In 1995 he was hired by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, where he spent over 25 years. While working for Las Vegas, Doug worked 5 years in Patrol, 5 years in the Narcotics Section as a Detective, and 10 years on the LVMPD full-time SWAT team.
During his time on the SWAT team, he worked as an entry man, an explosive breacher, a sniper, and finished as the Assistant Team Leader. Doug participated in over 3000 live SWAT missions while working for Las Vegas.
In 2013 Doug was promoted to sergeant. As a sergeant, he worked in Patrol, VICE, Major Violators, Counter Terrorism, and the Force Investigation Team. He retired from LVMPD in 2020.
In 2021, Doug was hired by a large police department in Idaho. He currently works as their SWAT commander and lieutenant over the Training Section.
Doug completed his education at College of Southern Nevada for Criminal Justice. He also attended American Military University for Organizational Leadership for Law Enforcement.
