Jeff Fletcher
is a retired law enforcement officer with over 30 years of distinguished service, characterized by his leadership and dedication to public safety. His career spans various roles, from a probation and parole agent to a federal background investigator, demonstrating his versatility and commitment to the field.
Jeff began his career in August 1993 with the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole, and Pardon Services in Orangeburg County (SC). His tenure included significant achievements such as organizing the first Richland County Probation Warrant Sweep and being named the 1996 Richland County Employee of the Year.
In February 2001, Jeff joined the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD), where he served in the Freedom Patrol Division. Notably, he worked extensively on narcotics investigations, participating in major cases with the NYPD and various federal agencies. His undercover work in drug cases earned him commendations, including the CMPD Chief's Award.
In May 2015, Jeff joined the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, where he served until October 2023. As a detective and task force officer, he conducted extensive undercover investigations into various federal violations. Jeff's work with the FBI also involved crisis negotiations, where he played a crucial role in teaching and conducting negotiation courses.
In November 2023, Jeff took on a new challenge as a federal background investigator with Peraton. Predominate case work is in support of the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).
Jeff’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from South Carolina State University. His professional certifications are extensive, including North Carolina BLET Certification, North Carolina Radar Operator Certification, and credentialing as a federal background investigator.
In addition to his professional achievements, Jeff has built strong relationships with multiple law enforcement agencies, including the BATF, HSI, DEA, and various FBI offices across the United States. His ability to work collaboratively with these agencies has been instrumental in his success in law enforcement.
