Kevin Drummond began his law enforcement career in West Palm Beach, Florida with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office in 2003. During his twenty-one year career at the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, he has worked Patrol, Tactical Unit, Gang Unit, and the Firearms Investigative Unit.  

In 2017, Kevin became a full-time Task Force Officer with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). During his tenure with ATF he has investigated over 100 cases related to federal firearms violations, including Firearms Trafficking, prohibited individuals in possession of firearms, Gun Show investigations, Straw Purchasing, National Firearms Act violations, OCDETF investigations, and other Federal firearms violations.

During Kevin’s time in the Gang Unit he learned various methods of investigations to apply when targeting street level Gang members as it relates to Intelligence, Firearms, and Narcotics. Some of these methods involved in depth and long term investigations related to Wire intercepts and Racketeering investigations.

Currently Kevin is assigned to the Firearms Investigative Unit as a detective, as well as still being a full-time TFO with ATF. He is responsible for the majority of the firearms related investigations for both State and Federal Firearms violations for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. He is also responsible for and assists with firearms investigations training related to basic firearms investigations, firearms identification, machine gun conversion devices, and the proper handling of firearms for preserving DNA evidence.

While being assigned to the Firearms Investigative Unit, Kevin has become proficient in utilizing NIBIN leads as a way to generate not only firearms trafficking investigations, but other investigations related to violent crimes as well.

Kevin possesses a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice from Columbia Southern University.
