Mike Glisch began his law enforcement career in Richardson, Texas with the Richardson Police Department in 1987. During his
six-plus years at Richardson PD, he worked Patrol, Selective Deployment, and Undercover Narcotics for both Richardson PD and
The Collin Area Narcotics Task Force.

In 1994 Mike was hired by the Plano Police Department, located in Plano, Texas. Mike promoted to Sergeant in 1998 after serving in a patrol capacity and training officer.

As a Sergeant, Mike worked Patrol, supervised the K9 Unit, Criminal Investigations (Property Crimes), and went back for a second stint doing Narcotics Investigations. 

In 2006, Mike promoted to Lieutenant and worked in Patrol, Criminal Investigations, School Resource and Traffic and is currently the Commander of the Plano Police Department Traffic Unit. 

Mike has been a certified TCOLE instructor since 1996. He is also a Simunition Certified Supervisor. He has taught many various topics to recruit classes and street survival classes over the years. 

Mike is a graduate of Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with a BS in Business Administration. Mike is a graduate of the Southwestern Law Enforcement Institute School of Police Supervision, the Law Enforcement Management College (LEMIT) Leadership Command College, and the West Point Leadership Course.
