E-Discovery (Electronic Discovery) is the “process of applying the traditional legal discovery process to electronic evidence”. Discovery is the “compulsory disclosure of data, facts, and documents in civil and criminal cases.” With technology advancing at a rapid pace, electronic evidence acquisition is the new direction in criminal investigations.

Investigators will learn how to preserve, manage, and deliver digital evidence that may be presented at trial. Understanding new case law associated with E-Discovery and the Federal Rules of Evidence (FRE) will sharpen the skill sets of investigators.
