Rob Soop is a thirty-two-year law enforcement veteran with extensive experience and training in leadership, investigations, polygraph, and computer forensics. Rob spent his first twelve years in law enforcement with the Springettsbury Township Police Department in York County, PA. After four years in patrol Rob spent his remaining eight years there as a Detective. Rob worked at the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General from 1999 to 2020, holding supervisory roles for nineteen of his twenty years with the Attorney General’s Office. The supervisory roles included assignments in the Child Predator Unit, Public Corruption Unit, Insurance Fraud Section, Internal Affairs, and Rob spent his final eight years as a supervisor within the Computer Forensics Unit.

Rob possesses the EnCE certification as a EnCase Certified Examiner, Cellebrite Certified Mobile Examiner, and is a Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) through the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists. Rob has been qualified as an expert in courts of common pleas and has testified in magisterial district court, courts of common pleas, and before grand juries. Rob was also a Task Force Officer with the FBI Cybercrime Task Force.

Rob has extensive experience in the execution of search warrants involving the seizure and/or on scene previews of electronic evidence which included cell phones, computers, servers, and other miscellaneous electronic storage devices.  

Rob received his Master of Science Degree in the Administration of Justice from Wilmington University and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy. He is now retired from law enforcement in 2020 and operates a computer and cell phone forensics business providing services for litigation purposes.
